It's coming - Scotland's Speciality Food Show

Scotland’s Speciality Food Show opens at Glasgow's SECC on 22nd January with many new distributors and a gallery for innovative companies including Tartanice luxury Scottish ice cream. With a thriving home market and a strong export market, the Scottish food and drink sector is showing record turnover in one of Scotland's most successful industry sectors.

New exhibitors at the show include Orkney Distilling, with its new gin; Mhor Bread – artisan bread and cakes from Perthshire; McQueen Gin from Perthshire; Island Bakery from Skye and Perthshire Preserves. At the centre of the show is the new Launch Gallery featuring innovative companies selected for originality and quality. This will include a Scottish Company launch Egyptian Dukkah, Tartanice luxury Scottish ice cream and Sri Spice, hand-made curry kits from Fife. Established exhibitors include Little Doone Foods, Stewart Tower Dairy, Poporopo Popcorn, Orkney Food and Drink, Stoats Porridge Bars and Great Glen Charcuterie.

Katy Rodgers from Knockraich Farm Shop and Café is quoted as saying: “I found many great new products and it’s so encouraging to see the quality of the products at the show improve so dramatically.”

Scotland’s Speciality Food Show director Mark Saunders said: "We are now firmly established as one of the top food and drink buying arenas and we aim to make that buying experience as easy, efficient and inspiring as possible – this year will not disappoint.”
