The beginning of a family business
In 2012 I started searching for a cure for my chronic hay fever and developed a serious taste for expensive honey. Raw Heather honey from the Great Scottish Glens, Manuka, Chilean rainforests honey, Kenya, New Zealand, Romania, Spain and many others.
In 2015, whilst working the day job, my boss caught an interest in the jar of Chilean Rainforest honey on my desk, with its 40+ rating. Enquiring on its cost, after picking himself off the floor, suggested it might be somewhat cheaper to get my own bees (thanks Niels) and pointed me at a local bee association.
In 2016 I got my first two hives in the garden, then six, then 47 then over 100 and so on. It was an addiction to bees and the art of beekeeping. Managing bees is seasonal, even the youngest beekeeper would be lucky to get 70 goes at getting it "right", the theory was the more hives the more experiences in one lifetime.
Glen Heather Honey is my dedication to bees. To create the strongest, healthiest and happiest honey bees, that produce the finest artisan honey in the world.
Our honey is pure in its most natural raw form, unprocessed and straight from the hives.
